I love when they have sales like this because I can go and get a bunch of notions (mainly Schmetz sewing needles, straight pins, elastic, and random closures like snaps or hooks & eyes or velcro) at a price I don't mind paying. When I go on sale days like this, I head straight to the back of the store where I hit the notions section, the Clearance Clarence fabric, and the pattern drawers. I don't even look at the rest of the store. Well, OK I do, but I try not to buy anything unless I 1) have a coupon or 2) it's on sale. I never, ever buy anything at JoAnns at full price.

By the way, if these JoAnn posts are a little too much just let me know. I love to let folks know about a sale, but I don't want to seem like I'm only about JoAnn Fabrics. That is not the case, and they certainly don't pay me or anything for being a mouthpiece. It's just super important to me personally to let people know that you can save money when you sew for yourself so that's why I do it. But you guys let me know, OK?? I loves ya!!

My second tutorial on ditching facing is coming this weekend. I'm not showing anything new or super amazing, just something I've discovered along the way. If you've sewn for little girls, you have undoubtedly done this before so don't expect that it's something crazy new. :) Also, I'll post the dresses soon as well. It's been cold and cloudy here lately so I haven't been able to get good pics.
