Thanksgiving Day Outfit - Butterick 4686 View C

If you remember, I was eyeballing this outfit from Anthropologie...

I already have my cowl neck top that I made here, so using that outfit as inspiration, I whipped up a skirt using Butterick 4686 View C and have come up with this:

The skirt was super easy to make and is a little out of the norm for me. I never make an a-line skirt, and never wear skirts this long, but I think this is really dreamy and romantic. Of course, stealing the styling from Anthro helped too!

I found this crinkle chiffon in the dollar bin at M&L Fabrics. It's got a small, repeating flaw in the design, but nothing you can see unless you're really, really looking at it. I cut around it as much as possible so it's quite minimal. So this skirt, with lining, ended up costing me about $6! Hollah! I want to make the vest too, but I do not have the time or patience to draft my own pattern. It'll do as is I think, thought I may make a cowl neck top with little cap sleeves.

To my fellow US readers -- happiest Thanksgiving to you all. Gobble up that turkey!!!
