FAIL!

OK, so for those of you who didn't get to see, I won $50,000 on Don't Forget the Lyrics! I've wanted to tell you since it filmed in June, but you can't do that or else you get 50 lashes AND no money, and I loves ya but I also loves the idea that I will get $50,000 if I keep my damn yap shut. We will save it for about a year (I don't get it for a few months still, and when I get it I get all of it -- I have to be sure to give Uncle Sam his fair share at the end of the year or else I'll go to jail). After that we'll probably buy a house, and I am sure I will be getting a pimped out sewing machine (I already have it picked out) and some other stuff in the meantime. Word!

So on to the fail. I mentioned this in a couple of other posts and meant to post it last week, but I got toally caught up in the gameshow so I forgot. I'm a magpie and cannot focus on more than one thing at a time.

I made this yellow vest when I was on my staycation with Martha.

Martha is my sewing machine for those of you who are new here.

See, this looks all fine in the front. I'm sure you're thinking, "That looks fine Regan. What are you talking about??"

Wah wah!!!!!!! It's like an upside down version of the McDonald's golden arches! Boo, fail! I wanted a nice simple cocoon sweater and got a fugly mess. I do think the idea can be saved, and thankfully I didn't spend a lot of time or money on this, but ugh was it a disappointment. I figure I gotta show you guys my mess ups so you see that we all mess up from time to time. Gotta keep on truckin' & sew, sew, sew! Plus, sometimes the mess ups are too good not to share.

Also, I promise I haven't forgotten about my other tute on how to ditch a facing, I've just not needed to make anything like that for myself in a while. But I'll get on it because I always feel like such a flake. Not that any of you are sitting there with bated breath or anything, just waiting and waiting to learn a different technique that you probably already know you just don't realize you know. You know? But I want to do what I say I will do because I loves ya!
