This sweet little dress is for my girlfriend's baby. She's getting married, and a majority of the fabric for the baby's dress actually came from the material cut off her wedding dress when I hemmed it. Precious!
I love the little shorties!
Ruffles!
I also got to try some iron-on labels, and I have to say I like 'em pretty much, but I'm not 100% in lu-huuuuuv with them.
Now I have a t-shirt quilt to make for her soon-to-be-husband which is almost done. Then all I have is the other wedding dress I'm working on and I can finally get back to sewing for me!! I kid, I kid... I've actually gotten a few items whipped up for myself in the last couple of weeks, but I haven't taken many pics of them.
I'm on the right. The tall drink of water on the left is my sweet niece.
I made this skirt from SMS's Make it, Wear it! clothing month (tutorial HERE), and whipped up the tank using my tried & true tank top pattern. Also, and I know this'll sound a bit asshole-ish, but was anyone else a little disappointed with the fashion featured during the Make it, Wear it! month? I like the whole peasant, Japanese-esque styles, but a whole month of them? There are other styles out there. I dunno, it just seemed so limited which made me sad.
Anyway, I'll try to get some more pics of the stuff I've made posted. There has been a lot of reworking going on which I love because it means I have all of my supplies already! I'm so lazy about going to the fabric store, even though I do it at least once a week. Isn't that weird?
xoxo,
Super sweet! I love the labels, where did you order them from?
ReplyDeleteI can't wait to see pics of your sewing stuff!
They're just iron-on transfers by the brand "Transfer-mations" (love that name). I got a pack of three sheets from Michael's for maybe $5, and was able to make probably 50 labels per page since they're so small. The owlie is about the size of a dime.
