Here are my next two pieces for the Wardrobe Contest. Vogue 1051 slacks (seriously, if you haven't made these, I highly suggest them), and the skirt from Vogue 1127.
If you recall, I did not like the pockets on the slacks. They're not bad, just not my bag. I like to hook my thumbs in pockets, like this
I made this tute and it worked nicely. Well, except the original pockets were way too small. I think I'll upload a PDF of the proper (or at least a better) pocket size for folks to use if they decide to use my tute.
Moving on. This is the skirt I was swearing about. I think the problem was that I imagined this coming together in an hour and that WAS NOT the case. Ugh, I got so pissed at this skirt. Vogue 1127 did not like the zipper being moved from the back to the side, but I hate back zippers.
I can't zip back zippers unless I move it to the front, then zip, and then swish the skirt back into normal place and I just don't need another step when I get ready in the morning you know?
So yeah, the moving the zipper to the side initially gave me serious saddlebags. I re-worked the sides and zipper and finally got it to lay flat. Then I added the waistband and it was a little big. Just a little. But at the time, I was so over this skirt that it looked way worse than it was. Here's the back.
See? Not too bad. I am trying despserately to get into my next skirt, but I'm just dragging my feet. I will go now and get the muslin together hopefully tonight. I love muslins becuse you don't have to hem or finish anything.

They look great! Great wardrobe pieces!
